St. Vincent de Paul

Twice per year we serve dinner at St. Vincent de Paul’s soup kitchen on Main Street. Everyone is invited to participate in some way:  shopping for menu items, cooking the main dish ahead of time at home and delivering it hot, setting up, serving dinner, eating and chatting with the clients, and cleaning up.

Occasionally, St. Vincent de Paul’s Supportive Housing Program acquires new apartments.  CHT will then “adopt” an apartment and outfit it with new or good condition furniture, sheets, towels, shower curtain, and pots and pans.

We are also a “Tuna Church”.  We regularly collect cans of tuna fish (as well as other non-perishable foods) to bring to St. Vincent de Paul’s food pantry on Stack Street.
